The 2004 Clos Dominic Blanc is a rare wine that simply must be tried. It is very Spanish, with a golden color and rich texture, and aromas and flavors of honey and hazelnuts. The blend is 60% Garnacha Blanca, 20% Picapoll Blanco, and 20% Macabeu Blanco all from old vines. The grapes for this wine are from the renowned “Vinyes Altes” property, which is one of the oldest vineyards in the Priorat region. The white varietals were interplanted with red (Garnacha and Cariñena) over 100 years ago, making this a very rare vineyard site.
