Embruix de Vall-Llach
Priorat

Rated 92 points by the Wine Enthusiast
Catalan for “bewitching”, Vall Llach Embruix is a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

93 points Wine Enthusiast "Lovers of full-bodied, extracted Priorat wines know Vall Llach, and that cult sees Embruix as a good value.  The 2004 is on the right track: the nose is almost impenetrable as it oozes blackberry, tar and fine leather.  Meanwhile, the palate is like warm berry compote followed by espresso and dark chocolate.  Very rich although not overly complex.  Best now with steak or cheese, or hold until 2008. -M.S. August 2007

Founded in 1992, Celler Vall Llach has quickly risen to the forefront of the quality leaders of Priorat. The winery is located in the heart of Porrera, one of the region’s principal villages. Opera singer Lluís Llach has spared no expense in the vineyard and winery in order to produce the highest quality wines.

The 2004 Vall Llach Embruix (Catalan for “bewitching”) is a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine was aged in second and third used French oak barrels for 16 months for a soft aging without too much oak influence.
